チームラボ「藝術超未來」展、秩序がなくてもピースが成り立つ　

今回の作品で伝えたかったことはいくつかあるのですが、まず「抑制されていない、アンバランスなものの美しさ」というテーマがひとつです。昔の日本人は不完全なものの美を知っていました。例えば竜安寺の石庭、禅寺の石のカタチ。大自然の中で“いびつ”な、エネルギーの塊をピックアップしています。盆栽も同様、小さな器の上に、めいっぱいの生命が溢れ出た小宇宙になっていますよね。アジアのデザインはエネルギーを解放するようなもので、逆にヨーロッパのデザインは抑制によって成り立っていると思います。

TEAMLAB EXHIBITION "WE ARE THE FUTURE"　

There are some messages in this work, but a theme of 'beauty of unbalanced things that are not restrained' is one of them. The old Japanese knew the beauty of incomplete things, such as the stone garden of Ryoan-ji and the shape of the stone at Zen-ji. They pick up a lump of the distorted energy in nature. The same idea applies to bonsai since they become a microcosm filled with life in a small container. Asian design seems to unleash energy while European design is made up of many restraints.
